Wonton Skin (Standard) Cooking Guide & Recipes

Here's a recipe for crispy fried wontons:

Ingredients:

- 250g ground pork or shrimp (or a combination)

- 1 tablespoon soy sauce

- 1 teaspoon sesame oil

- 1 teaspoon minced ginger

- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 2 green onions, finely chopped

- 1/4 cup finely chopped cabbage

- 1 package Yunion Standard Wonton Skin (300g or 500g)

- Vegetable oil, for frying

- Sweet and sour sauce or soy sauce for dipping (optional)

Instructions:

1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground pork or shrimp, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced ginger, minced garlic, chopped green onions, and chopped cabbage. Mix well until everything is evenly incorporated.

2. Lay out a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Place about 1 teaspoon of the filling mixture in the centre of the wrapper.

3. Wet the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold the wrapper diagonally to form a triangle. Press the edges firmly to seal. You can also wet the two bottom corners of the triangle and bring them together, pressing firmly to seal, to create the classic wonton shape.

4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a large pot to 175°C.

5. Carefully add the wontons to the hot oil in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 2-3 minutes, or until the wontons are golden brown and crispy.

6. Remove the fried wontons from the oil using a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

7. Repeat with the remaining wontons until all are fried.

8. Serve the crispy fried wontons hot with sweet and sour sauce or soy sauce for dipping, if desired.

Enjoy your delicious homemade fried wontons!
